With the advent of social networks and the "craze" seemingly unrelenting maybe its time we embraced it.
Starting yesterday (monday) Yahoo Mail users will be able to update their Facebook status from their Yahoo Mail in-box. Facebook users will be able to log into their accounts right from the Yahoo Mail home page and will also be able to click through to the Facebook profiles of friends when they receive e-mail from friends who have linked their two accounts. Though small its an interesting update to Yahoo Mail, one of the most widely used Web e-mail service in the world.
The notion of many "authorities" in the IT industry especially in developing economies have worked very hard, to shun workers in their organizations from social networks-especially in working hours...
While I may not be a supposed authority, I think its just a matter of time before IT policies in many an organization, not only attempt to embrace social networking, but vehemently seek involvement. But then its just a thought....
